Union Leaders Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability

With employment practices exposures on the rise and directors, officers and trustees under heightened scrutiny, Union organizations and the individuals who serve them are wise to carefully examine the insurance in place to address Directors and Officers and Employment Practices exposures – and to opt for broad protection.

Numerous special provisions address the unique exposures of Unions:

A broad definition of “insured”, including the organization, trustees, directors, officers, employees, the estates, heirs, spouses or domestic partners of the insured and volunteers
Coverage for each individual leader for an additional cost of $50.00 for limit of liability of $50,000 for violation of the Landrum-Griffin Act, the Wagner Act or related State or Federal Labor law statues.

Covered entities included the named organization and any non-profit subsidiaries that exist at the inception of the policy
Coverage up to $1,000,000 limit of liability for non-employment discrimination coverage for discrimination and harassment claims brought by third parties
Access to claims specialist dedicated to a managing non profit claims.
